The Saltire Foundation has been established because Scotland needs individuals with the business skills and entrepreneurial drive to transform Scottish companies into global businesses of scale.

An independent charitable organisation, it represents a new vision for Scotland, providing invaluable opportunities through experience, learning and business networking.

Mark has been the Patron of the Saltire Foundation since 2009 and spoken at a number of their event in the UK and abroad. Mark was also part of the first internship programme that the Saltire Foundation ran in 2005 when he worked at Liberty Mutual in Boston for a summer. It was this experience that he credits with giving him the confidence to create his own career after finishing his studies at the University of Glasgow.

The Saltire Foundation runs two programs, the Undergraduate Internship Programme for University students and The Fellowship Programme, for young executives and entrepreneurs.

The Saltire Foundation has the support of some of the world’s foremost multi-nationals and the backing of Scottish Enterprise, GlobalScots and Scotland’s International Advisory Board.
